AAK partnered with the Kenya Forest Service (KFS), the local community under the Likia Community Forest Association (CFA) and other stakeholders involved in afforestation to plant trees under the programme “Adopt an Acre”. AAK and its members have adopted 100 acres of forest land for tree planting. On the 13 April 2018, AAK and its members planted over 3000 trees seedling.
The event was graced by Chief Administrative Secretary (CAS) Ministry of Environment and Forestry Hon. Mohamed Elmi MBE, EGH, Chief Executive Committee (CEC) Member Ministry of Water, Environment, Energy and Natural Resources, Dr Maara, AAK Chair Mr. Patrick Amuyunzu, the Board of the Agrochemicals Association of Kenya (AAK) and AAK member companies among others.
