A Report on knowledge sharing workshop on role of input distributors in enhancing farmers access to agricultural Inputs By Kenya Markets Trust (KMT) On 13th June 2018 At Eka Hotel, Nairobi Kenya

Kenya Markets Trust, a trademark of Market Development Trust, is a Kenyan organization that works in partnership with the private sector; county & national governments; Associations; Local and Internationals Partners to unleash large scale, sustainable market growth by changing the underlying incentives, capacities and rules that shape how market systems work.  KMT is working closely in the Agricultural value chain Sectors of Inputs Supply, Dairy Sector, Water and Information Dissemination in a bid to contribute to agriculture policy operationalization, information dissemination, crop yield improvement, soil health and enhancing of public and private sector partnerships.

On the 13th of June KMT at EKA Hotel invited its partner organizations for a plenary workshop to discuss and find best solutions for inputs distributors in enhancing farmer access to information and inputs in the Kenyan market. In this forum partner organizations gave presentations on the mutual gains made in their respective markets through enhanced collaborations with KMT in the previous years and months. AAK (Croplife Kenya) and KMT have been since embarked on a collaborative partnership since November 2016 on County Level Workshops and Expos aimed at improving farmers’ access to and effective use of agricultural inputs among other services.
